Santa Rosa Memorial, Petaluma Valley hospitals to host free public forums about Health Care Reform’s impact on consumers
Want to know more about Health Care Reform and how this historic piece of legislation will impact you and your family? The public is invited to an interactive 60-minute forum, sponsored by St. Joseph Health-Sonoma County, focused on "Understanding Health Care Reform and the Affordable Care Act."
Speakers include Jo Sandersfeld, Vice President of Mission Integration, Mark Knight, Vice President of Strategic Services, and Christopher Manson, Regional Director of Government Relations.
Through a 40-minute presentation, followed by an open period for audience questions and answers, the forum will focus on what you, as a health care consumer, can expect over the next several years as provisions of this landmark legislation take effect nationwide. Learn about the timeline for implementation of various provisions, about new benefits and what will be offered, and about the cost.
The forums will be held at the two local hospitals operated by St. Joseph Health:
- September 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Conference Rooms B through D
- September 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Petaluma Valley Hospital, in Groverman Hall
