The St. Joseph Mobile Health Clinic is celebrating 20 years of operation this month. In the past two decades, the mobile clinic has provided care to more than 30,000 patients, playing a vital role in reducing disparities in health outcomes and increasing access to care for individuals and families who lack a regular physician and who have difficulty obtaining affordable healthcare.
The mobile clinic offers preventive and primary healthcare and education to uninsured or underinsured populations throughout Sonoma County. Services include evaluation and management of acute and chronic illness, health screenings, immunizations and care management. Education focuses on health-related problems and diseases that affect the patients the mobile clinic serves such as hypertension, diabetes, women’s health, asthma and nutrition.
On Tuesday, September 13, St. Joseph Health will celebrate this major milestone with an open house and reception. The open house will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The mobile clinic will be set up on the patio area behind the Creekside Café.
