For Our Community

St. Joseph Health Sonoma County believes strongly in supporting the community; this is because we believe that it should be our goal not only to meet the health needs of our individual patients, but to also help the neighborhood around us. As a values-based organization, we strive to uphold the core values that we have set out for ourselves. These include Dignity, Service, Excellence and Justice.

Community Benefits Plan

You may or may not be aware that thousands of people across Sonoma County have neither the money nor the transportation to access the basic medical services most of us take for granted. This problem is huge and growing: Children need cavities to be filled, moms-to-be need prenatal care, and senior citizens need healthcare services. Last year we invested nearly $2.3 million in free community outreach programs for people who have nowhere else to turn. We will not reduce this commitment, because it is a core value of our institution and part of the fabric of our mission. For more information Click Here

Volunteer

We offer a broad range of volunteer opportunities at our hospitals and a wide variety of community-based positions through our Hospice, Medical Access and Community Benefit programs. For more information Click Here

Our Hospital Foundations - Ways to Give

Our Foundations match the needs of the hospitals with generous philanthropic support from the community to enhance patient services and programs. Each contribution is a significant investment in the health and well-being of the members of our community and the North Coast region.
