Petaluma Valley Hospital Foundation
We exist in order to continue and grow the community’s sense of ownership in Petaluma Valley Hospital. We build lifelong relationships with people in our community in order that people can understand, appreciate and support our endeavors, while recognizing the importance of having a great community hospital close to home. We preserve and enhance philanthropy and volunteerism at Petaluma Valley Hospital.
Our Board…
- Builds relationships that positively connect people to the hospital
- Raises money within the community
- Ensures that donors’ wishes are consistently and explicitly met
- Ensures that all dollars are appropriately invested in interest bearing conservative instruments that safeguard the endowment and saving of the Foundation
- Assist the St. Joseph Health Sonoma County in selecting hospital needs and fundraising targets
- Approves campaign material and helps in setting campaign goals and strategies
- Approves the operating budget for the Foundation
- Approves the annual strategic plan
- Recommends expenditures of funds for items exceeding $5,000 in value
- Reviews accounts to ensure that donors’ wishes are met
- Provides hospital administration with both strategic, tactical and public relations counsel
