Dear Friends,
It is my pleasure to introduce you to the Petaluma Valley Hospital Foundation. Through this web site, I invite you to learn more about the mission of the Foundation and how you can join us in this caring and rewarding work.
Here at Petaluma Valley Hospital, we are a little more intimate, a little smaller than big city hospitals and we pride ourselves on the personal attention we are able to give our patients and their families. What sets us apart from other hospitals is our passionate commitment to meeting the needs of our neighbors, friends and families, as did our founders, decades ago.
Our philosophy is founded on the belief that healing can best take place when the needs of the whole person are attended to: body, mind and spirit. This shared vision held by our physicians, nurses, volunteers and staff has one central purpose: to help people get well.
We also are able to offer the advantages of being part of St. Joseph Health System-Sonoma County, which enables us to share expertise and draw upon specialists within our system, so patients get the right care, at the right time—right when it is needed the most—close to home. We believe in embodying compassion, excellence and professionalism in all of our activities and are deeply committed to the values of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange:
- Dignity: We respect each person as an inherently valuable member of the human community and as a unique expression of life.
- Service: We bring together people who recognize that every interaction is a unique opportunity to serve one another, the community and society.
- Excellence: We foster personal and professional development, accountability, innovation, teamwork and a commitment to quality.
- Justice: We advocate for systems and structures that are attuned to the needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged and that promote a sense of community among all persons.
I wish you well. Know that we are here if you need us and that you will be well cared for by people within your community who want only the best for you and your loved ones.
Warm Regards,
Mike Tomasini, Chairman
