Following college, Dr. Rothenberg earned his Master's degree in experimental
physiological psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Yeshiva University
with a research fellowship at The Rockefeller University. Continuing his
research in medical school with fellowships at the National Cancer Institute
and National Institute for Mental Health, he went on to graduate The George
Washington University School of Medicine "With Distinction"
and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.
Then joining the Department of Medicine at Kaiser, Redwood City, he served
as the medical director of that hospital's ICU until, for family reasons,
he moved to San Clemente, CA. There he practiced internal and consultative
critical care medicine and, for most of his 21 years there, was the director
of the ICU at Saddleback Memorial, San Clemente. He has now joined the
Annadel Medical Group as their Petaluma based intensivist.
Additionally, Dr. Rothenberg is the co-inventor of the PacerView, a device
used to facilitate placement of central venous catheters using electrocardiographic
guidance and holds several patents, all in the field of central venous
catheter tip location.
