  • Biography

I am proud to continue a small private practice where I can apply my experience after almost forty years of clinical hospital work and advocacy helping our community’s most in need. I served as medical director and chair of Psychiatry at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and served as president of the Psychiatric Foundation of Northern California for 14 years where I helped generate significant funding for the homeless mentally ill. Throughout my long career, I have been committed to helping the most severely affected patients. I was a leading figure in gaining approval for a suicide barrier for the Golden Gate Bridge, the primary suicide site in the world. For my work on the bridge project he received the Lifesaver Award from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

I completed my residency at UCSF and my Medical Doctorate at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I have a specialization in addiction medicine and gerontology and am also a major retired US Army Doctor. I look forward to serving you.
