Dr. Lee graduated from Harvard with Honors in 1992 and from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1996. She completed her surgical residency at University of California, San Francisco in 2003 and a Minimally Invasive & Bariatric Surgery Fellowship in 2004. During her residency, Dr. Lee also completed an MBA at the Haas School of Business, at the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Lee is a member of multipe surgical societies including the American Society of Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery and the Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Lee is credited with publishing one of the sentinel, ground-breaking papers in 2007 demonstrating the safety and efficacy of the gastric sleeve and leading to its widespread adoption. For almost a decade, she has been recognized by her peers and colleagues in over 20 times as one of the Bay Area’s “Top Doctors” for general surgery and obesity surgery. Dr. Lee was in the top 3 of robotic surgeons in Norther California, with over 700 operations.
