Biography
Dr. Thomas Stanton is Medical Director of Clinical Trials and Research
for St. Joseph Health Medical Group and board certified in Internal Medicine,
Hematology and Medical Oncology.
He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, attended
medical school at George Washington University and completed a fellowship
in Hematology/Oncology at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco.
He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American
Society of Hematology and has been elected a Fellow of the American College
of Physicians for accomplishments in research and teaching.
He has been in private practice in Petaluma since 1991 and has been Chairman
of the Oncology Committee at Petaluma Valley Hospital during that time.
In that capacity he has led the hospital to certification by the American
College of Surgeons as a Community Cancer Program.
He enjoys educating patients about their condition and involving them
in treatment decisions.
